Baby Shower/Dinner?

Image
My friend wants to throw me a baby shower where you serve dinner to everyone instead of playing games. She wants to do it within the next 10 days or so. I'm wondering if that's too last minute. I'm also wondering if there would even be an interest. So, let me know if any of you would like to come and would be available. We're thinking about doing Friday the 11th of January at like 6:00 PM. Me at 36 Weeks. I'm getting big.

Merrill Family

Image
I took pictures for my sister Jenae and her family yesterday. We had a lot of fun. There are a ton of awesome pictures, but this one was my favorite. I think I'm going to start my own Photography Blog. I have so many pictures I want to post on here but I don't want to bore those of you who aren't interested in looking at them.

Our Christmas Weekend

Image
Our Christmas Celebrations started on Sunday because Pete's sister Jenny had to work on Christmas Day. So, the whole family went to Jenny's house. We ate a delicious lunch. And, then we busted open the presents. Everyone got lots of cool things. The top two favorite things we got were: this awesome bike trailor. Now, we can go for a bike ride! Bryson loved this train track. It's remote control so he can control were the train goes. After we opened presents we hung out for a little bit and then we went home and layed around and played with our new stuff. Then, Bryson and I went to my parents house for dinner. My brother and sister and their families came down from Utah. So, I wanted to hang out with them. It was fun. Then, we went back home to be with daddy. Then, on Monday we hung out all morning and relaxed. Then, we made mashed potatoes for the dinner that night. Pete helped me peel and bake them. It was so nice of him. It took us s few hours because we had to make enoug...

Castor Oil Really Does Work

Image
So, Friday I was pretty tired of being pregnant. Pete and I had been out shopping all day. So, I was really tired and was having a lot of contractions because of all of the walking. So, I thought...maybe this babies ready to come out. So, I made Pete take me to buy Castor Oil. I thought I'd just help the baby along a little. I took 1 tablespoon with 8 ounces of orange juice. It didn't taste as bad as I thought it would. I heard it makes you have the runs and makes you throw up. Well, that never happened. I took it at 10:45 PM. When I went to bed at midnight I still didn't feel any effects. So, I went to bed. I slept out on the living room couch by myself (my new ritual) because I sleep so much better there now that I'm so big. At 2:15 AM I awoke to the most painful feeling I've ever had in my whole life. My back was hurting SOOOO bad and my belly was SOOOO tight. I was induced with Bryson so I didn't really know what contractions felt like (I had the epidural be...

Double Stroller For Sale

Image
I bought this Combi 2006 Counterpart Tandem Double Stroller a few months ago from my old work {Kids Xchange}. I haven't even used it yet. But, I've recently decided that I want a different one. So, I'm trying to sell this one. It's in excellent condition. It folds and unfolds SO easily. You can remove all of the fabic pieces on the stroller and wash them. I've already washed it all. So, it's super clean. I also disinfected all the metal parts. I'm trying to get $125.00 out of it, although I paid a lot more than that. If any one is interested, let me know. Here is the product description: Lightweight and portable lifestyle tandem stroller, Compatible with Combi Connection and Combi Centre Infant Seats (rear seating position only) Convenient flat fold and self standing Effortless one hand open Rear seating position has full recline to accommodate an infant 5-Point harness with comfort pads Removable kid’s tray for snacks and drinks Large canopies; extended vis...

Special Gloves

Image
Yesterday after my doctors appointment Bryson and I spent the day with Grandpa Hunt. Bryson kept us laughing the whole day! We were inside a store looking at girls gloves for my sister for Christmas. Bryson saw a pair that he liked so I let him try them on. They actually fit him perfect, which totally surprised me. Usually there is tons of extra space in the fingertips. Grandpa asked him if his fingers were cold. He said, "Nope, not anymore." He wore the gloves around the store. When it was time to go I told him he had to put the gloves back. He said, "No, I NEEEEED these. They are so soft and comfy." It was SO funny. Grandpa and I couldn't stop laughing. So, of course Grandpa bought the gloves for him. Who could resist that. On the way to the next stop he just kept lifting up his hands and staring at his gloves. It was so funny. Here's a picture of him looking at them. As you can see, they are totally woman's gloves that go all the way up to his elbows....

Kids Don't Miss Much

Image
I was at the doctors office yesterday and Bryson was with me. While we were waiting for the doctor to come in Bryson discovered this poster. I'm sure you've all seen it at your gyno's offices. It's a picture of the female reproductive system {I made the picture small on purpose so you didn't have to be grossed out by the details}. Ha ha. Anyway, he sat and stared at it for a while. Then, he turns to me and says, "Mom, what happened to your penis?" I couldn't stop laughing. He had a few other funny comments as well. Kids are so funny!

Fruit Stand Location

Image
Everyone has been asking me where the fruit stand is that I went to. So, I thought I'd share it with all. It's called Superstition Ranch Market. It's in Mesa. The address is 4755 E. Main St. It's on Main Street between Greenfield and Higley. Here's a picture of what the outside looks like. Go check it out. You'll be shocked at how much cheaper it is than the grocery stores.

You Know Your Husbands Getting Old When...

Image
you have to put this in his hair! Pete's been getting patched of grey in his hair for a while now. So, last night at the store we picked up a box of this. I put it on his hair tonight. It looks good. I think maybe next time we should get a darker color. Pete's dad went all grey at like age 35. I hope Pete doesn't do that. That would be SO weird. If he does, I'll be buying a lot of this stuff.

Fruit Stand

Image
My parents have been telling me for years to buy my fruit at this fruit stand that they always go to instead of getting my fruit from the grocery store. I always think about it, but never make it there. It's just so much easier to get everything at one store. Well, yesterday while I was visiting my parents my dad asked if I wanted to go to the fruit stand with him. I hadn't done my grocery shopping yet. So, I thought I'd go and get like lettuce and tomatoes. But, once I got there I had a hay day. Everything was SO cheap. I got a whole cantalope for 25 cents, a container of strawberries for 59 cents {the the grocery store they are like $4.99 for the same container}, a pinnapple for 1 dollar, etc. I got a whole shopping cart of stuff for $15.00. It was amazing! And, Bryson is actually eating it too {he's a picky eater}. I'm totally hooked. That's where I'm getting my fruit from now on. Forget the grocery store! YUM!

Shh....Don't Tell

Image
I went to the mall the other day and happened to find this awesome bike! It was discounted more than half the original price. The salesman said they were going fast, and that there were only 10 left. When I got home I told Pete about it. I said I wanted it for Christmas. Well, tonight we went to the mall and I took Pete to the store where it was and showed him. There was only ONE left. So, we bought it for me! But, shh...don't tell. It's for Christmas. I just couldn't wait to show it off though. Ha ha. I wish I could ride it right now. It looks like so much fun. I'm in love!

Closest Thing To Snow

Image
So, I was sitting here blogging and I hear this loud noise on the window next to me. I look out the window and it's totally hailing! How crazy. I grabbed Bryson and my camera and ran out the front door to enjoy it. I don't remember the last time it hailed here. It was pretty exciting. Bryson didn't enjoy it as much as me. And, I'm sure Pete enjoyed it even less than Bryson. He's out knocking doors in it. Poor guy. I feel so bad for him. He's probably freezing his butt off. He wore shorts and didn't take a jacket with him. Crazy guy. Thanks for working through it for us honey. See all the white spots on the ground? It's amazing! It's as close to snow as we can get. I'll take it. Ha ha!

Gingerbread Houses

Image
Last night we went to my Aunt's house for dinner. After dinner we decorated ginger bread houses. It's a Christmas Tradition we do every year. She gets these great kits that have everything we need to make a great house. We had a lot of fun. Here's how the house looked like to start with. Here's Pete's decorating skills. And here's mine and Bryson's mad skills. Bryson has been eating away at the house all day today.

Milo Update

Image
In September I put a post about Milo. Click here to view it http://pete-n-kaylea.blogspot.com/2007/09/blog-post.html . Everyone asked where to get the Milo. I finally located it. I'm so excited. It's at a store called Lee Lee's Oriental Market. It's on Dobson and Warner. The Milo is on the cereal aisle. It's $3.99. So, go get yourself some! I got mine. Ha ha.

Cookies, Beans, Rice, and Noodles

Image
Today we were bored...what's new? We decided to make cookies. We didn't cook the dough. We just ate it. I've never been one to bake the cookies. When I lived at home, when I was younger, I would make the dough and my mom would bake the cookies. She hated making the dough. So, it worked out perfectly. Now, that my mom's not around, they never end up in the oven. Ohh well. Here's my little helper. H ere's the result. Btw, I ate way too much. Now I have a stomach ache....and of course, heartburn. We were still bored so I got creative. I pulled all the raw noodles, rice, and beans I could find out of my cupboard and poured them into a big bowl. Then, I put animals, spoons, little cups, ect. into the mixture and let Bryson have a hayday with it. He loved it. It kept him busy for quit a while. I however wasn't very entertained with it. So, I took pictures. I took a bunch of other cool ones but didn't want to bore you with them. Who would have guessed thi...

Doctors Appointment

Image
I had a doctors appointment yesterday. I got an ultrasound taken. They didn't take very many pictures. But, it was still cool to have one done. The said the baby weighs 4 pounds. Which, according to them, is average. That was comforting. I'm glad he's not above average. I'm hoping he only gains a few more pounds. I'm crossing my fingers for a smaller baby this time around. Here is his arm Here is his nose and lips. His lips look so big and cute. I can't wait to see what he looks like! I've only gained 25 pounds so far....yeah! I'm right on target for where I want to be. I'm proud of myself. I'm hoping to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight pretty quickly after the birth.

Christmas Tree is Up.

Image
We put our Christmas tree up a few nights ago. Bryson was really excited about it. We don't have any ordaments to go on it though so it looks pretty plain. But, it's ok. At least we have a tree, right? My dad bought it for us last year. I'm so glad he did. It was nice not having to worry about coming up with the money to buy one, like years past. I take that back....we have one ordament! Ha ha! Pete made this in elementary school. Priceless. Yeah for Christmas!
