22 Week Ultrasound

Image
On Wednesday I had a doctors appointment. They gave me another ultrasound. They wanted to check and see if the cysts that were on the babies brain were gone. We're glad to report that they are totally gone. Plus, my kidneys have finally stopped hurting me. So, I can finally say that everyone is happy and healthy. Yeah! I'm starting to feel really big though. I have to have help getting up off the couch already. This is where the fun begins. It so funny having a huge belly. Pete and I were dancing the other night and it was so funny feeling a ball between us. Below I put a profile picture we just got of the baby. I just looked at it and said..."It looks like Bryson!" I put a profile picture of Bryson below so you can have a look for yourself. Don't you think they look alike? Or am I just a crazy mother with a big imagination?

Day in the sun

Yesterday my friend Karissa and I got together. We just went over to my parents house and let Bryson and Brittin play around. They had the most fun in the water. I didn't bring a swimming suit for Bryson. So, I let him get wet in his underwear. I didn't think anyone would appreciate having to look at him in just his underwear so I went and got one of my little sisters shirts and put on him. It looked like a dress. At moments he looked liked a girl. It was so funny. Karissa and I got a good kick out of it. I love how his chest is hanging out. They loved sliding into the water Cute kids Bryson enjoyed spraying water on people

My Belly

Image
Bryson was jealous that I was getting my picture taken. He was begging me to take his. Who's kid does that? Most kids hate pictures. I've trained him well. Ha ha. What a cute smile! {he's still sporting his spiderman glove} Me and the boy So, some people have been asking to see pictures of my belly. I actually got ready today so I thought today would be a good day to get a picture. This is me at 23 and a half {can't forget the half} weeks. I'm not too big yet. I've only gained 4 pounds so far. So, that's good. With my last pregnancy I gained a whopping 78 pounds total. That wasn't fun getting off afterwards. So, I'm trying to be really careful this time around. Wish me luck! I'm going to need it. Chocolate keeps calling my name!

Congratulations Nae Nae

Last night my sister Jenae had her 2nd baby. She called me at 3:45 and told me she was in the hospital. She had been there for a couple of hours. She told me she was dialated to a 5. An hour later I get a message from my family saying she had already had the baby. I later found out that she had it 25 minutes after I talked to her. She went from a 5 to a 10 in like 20 minutes. Crazy! I couldn't believe how fast it all went. I hope my second one goes that fast. Jenae lives in Utah. So, unfortunetely, we only get to see pictures of Tanner for now. Sad! My parents now have 5 grandkids. After my baby is born it will make 6. Tanner Jay Merrill. 8 lbs 5 ozs. 21 in. long. First family photo. Mommy and baby. Good job girl. I hope you recover quickly. I'm sure you'll be back to a size 4 {jealous} in a few days, like last time.

Ward Camp Out

Image
This past weekend was our ward camp out. We're in the same ward as my family. So, we drove up with them. We went to a camping area just past Payson. It was a great spot. There were a lot of people that showed up. We camped next to our friends, the Budges. When we got there my dad and brother set up the tent. They forgot the tent poles so they had to get creative. They put it up with sticks, rocks, rope, and cables. It was pretty funny. Everyone had a good laugh. Then, we made dutch oven dinner {my dads speciality}. While we waited for it to cook Karisa and I chatted by the fire, Pete and Sven collected fire wood, Bryson and his girlfriend Brittin followed them around trying to collect sticks too. The best part for the kids was throwing the sticks in the fire. We had a hard time keeping them away from it. We let them roast marshmellows. They thought they were in heaven. They were so cute together all night. They kept saying the funniest stuff. We all just sat and laughed at them. Th...

No Joke!

Your not going to believe this....because I still don't. My friend called me and asked me if I wanted to go to the mall with her. We ate lunch, let the kids play in the play area, and then went shopping. We went to Claire's and found this amazing sale. If you bought 15 items {from this certain rack} you'd only have to pay $5.00. Among those items on the rack were these totally cute shoes. My friend and I decided to split the $5.00 deal. So, I got these 6 pairs of shoes and a headband for $2.00! Yes, $2.00!! I was SO amazed. They were $.33 each. My friend got 8 items so she paid $3.00. She got 4 pairs of shoes and 4 head bands. It was crazy! It made my day. Heck, it will probably make my week! I can wear a different pair everyday for the rest of the week. Happy happy! BTW {by the way}, the sale ended yesterday, but they forgot to take the signs down, so they had to give us the deal. That means ya'll can't run out and get yourselves any. Bummer! Cute, cute, cute!

Trip to the zoo

Image
On friday we went to the zoo. The news said it was going to be 86 degrees but it was really 96 degrees. So, it wasn't as enjoyable as we'd hoped it would be. I was dying! It was hot, I was pushing a thirty pound toddler in a stroller, and there were so many hills! I think we'll have to wait a few weeks to go back. We have a membership this year so we can go back as many times as we want. I'm excited. If anyone ever wants to go with us, let me know! Bryson petting a baby goat Mom and Bryson Bryson petting a sheet {he kept singing Mary had a little lamb} Bryson driving a tractor Did you notice his batting glove on his right hand? It's not only a batting glove, it's a spiderman glove! He wears it everywhere we go these days. He likes to throw out a web every now and again. Watch out, he might be after you!

Break Dancer

We went to a wedding on Thursday night. It was a Argentine wedding so they had a ton of music and dancing. Bryson was in heaven. We couldn't get him off the dance floor! I recorded this video off of my phone so the quality isn't very good {because of the low lighing in the place}. But, hopefully, you'll still get the idea. Everyone was break dancing inside a circle. I could tell Bryson wanted to go out on the floor so bad. So, I told him to go do it. And he did. That part is at the very beginning of the video. Then, he went out and danced with everyone else. He had some good moves. I couldn't get too much on video because people kept walking in front of me. But, this should be enough to make you laugh .

Like father like son

Image
Pete is a "Mr. Clean" freak. Every time we walk into a store he walks right to the disinfect wipes, supplied by the stores, and wipes the cart down. The other night Bryson beat daddy into the store. He got a shopping cart by himself and pushed it right up to this Disinfectant stand, got a wipe, and started wiping the cart down. I just had to laugh. I had no idea he paid so much attention to dads obsessiveness. And, since I'm addicted blogger, I happened to have my camera on hand to capture the moment. Anyone else use these wipes or were they made just for Pete {and apparently Bryson}?

Working Woman

Image
My old boss called me up last week and begged me to work a few days for her. Her family was coming into town so she wanted to be home with them. I initally told her no. But, then she called me back and offered me a lot of money for working just two days. So, how could I say no to that. Yesterday was more work than today.I took Bryson with me yesterday. I used to take Bryson with me every time I worked {when I was a regular employee there}. I don't know how I did it. I must have been crazy! I was so tired when I got home. Today went by fast. Pete had the day off so he kept Bryson. They brought me lunch around 1:30 and then decided to just stay and hang out with me until my shift was over at 3. I took my mini DVD player to keep myself entertained {it can get very boring there at times}. I was sure glad to have it. It was really slow today. I came to a conclusion at the end of my shift: I LOVE being a stay-at-home Mom. Nothing beats it! Me on my way to work. . .I was ready to take on...

My new love...the laundry mat

Image
I don't have a washer and dryer at my house {if you can call it that}. It's very annoying! We usually do it at one of our parents house. Well, we let the laundry get out of hand a while ago {by not keeping up on it}. They dirty clothes pile just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Finally I couldn't take it anymore. I talked to my sister Jackie who goes to a laundry mat every week. She told me how much it cost and how long it takes. She invited me to join her. So, I did. I woke up at stinkin' 6:30 AM. I don't remember the last time I was up that early! A guy at the laundry mat asked me what time it was, and when I looked at my watch, it looked weird. For some reason I had to do a double take and use my finger to count the numbers on my watch. I've never had to read it at that time. So, while I was doing my laundry I decided that I love the laundry mat! I've always been freaked out by them {probably because of the people I usually see using them are fr...

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad

Happy Anniversary to the best parents in the whole world! They've been married for 29 years!

Bad day!

Yeasterday was such a bad day. Pete was home sick still so we were all home together. Bryson was really driving us crazy. We decided that he never shuts up. If he's not talking, he's singing, or making noises with his mouth. And, he just loves jumping all over us. Which, in our current conditions, isn't very pleasant. He's not so good with listening to us either{venting, sorry}. By 6:00 we were ready to pull our hair out. We thought he just needed to get out of the house. So, we decided to go out to eat at Red Robins. BAD IDEA! He was SO naughty!! It was really embarrassing! He screamed because he wanted to play with the video games at the front of the place, he cried because he wanted a balloon, he was mad about his food, and then he spilled Pete's drink all over the table. I just wanted to pack up and leave. The waitress was really nice about it. She brought Bryson a free ice cream sundae and that shut him up and made him happy for like 5 minutes. That gave us eno...

Lots of errands!

Image
Today I spent the whole day running errands. It was actually lots of fun. I like running errands, but don't do it very often anymore {Due to these thing: the kid keeps me busy, too hot outside, don't feel well, or don't want to take Pete to work so I can have the car}. Pete had the day off to recovery so I took advantage and got out by myself. It was great to be alone {never thought I'd say that}. One of my errands was a T-mobile store .I bought this super cool phone! I've been wanting to buy it for awhile. My sister {who's on my family plan} dropped {and totally damaged} her phone. Since I was eligable for an upgrade and she wasn't, I told her I'd get a new one and send her my old one...which isn't very old {it's a cool black razor phone}. Needless to say, I was SO sad to be forced to buy the phone I want! :) Ha ha. This was my BIGGEST accomplishment for the day! Our computer has been making a horrible noise for quite some time. It's been r...

Pete's Nose Surgery

Image
Yesterday Pete had his nose operated on. They corrected his deviated septum. The surgery was pretty fast. He's supposed to recover quickly. After I took him home yesterday he was really nauseous and sleepy. So, he slept most of the day. His nose was bleeding a ton. Today it has slowed down though. He's feeling pretty good. He's not in pain. He just can't breathe out of his nose yet. He said, It's not painful, it's just annoying". SO, that's good. He'll be back to work tomorrow. Yeah! Sexy man pose Just after surgery Bryson wondering what's happening to his dad What he looks like now! You go boy!

Pure delicious-ness!

Ok, this is seriously the best stuff ever! It's called Milo. They don't really sell it in the US {only at like two stores in the valley}. They sell it in other countries {I'm not sure which ones though}. I know for a fact they sell it in Australia...that's where this container came from. My mom went on her mission to Australia and ate this stuff all the time. She introduced it to us kids. My parents have have had tons of Australian exchange students stay with them over the years. Every time they come we tell them to bring us Milo. So, we generally always have some at my parents house. They had two containders at their house. So, the other night I stole this one. I have enjoyed it ever since. You sprinkle it {or, in my case, drench it} on top of ice cream. Or you can pour a glass of milk and put like 3 tablespoons in the milk and stir it up. It's the best chocolate milk EVER! It leaves this layer of little tiny crunchy chocolate clumps on top. You spoon that off at e...

Kidney Update

I went to the kidney doctor today. He was weird and not very helpful. All he told me was that it's common in pregnancy to have a fluid backup in your right kidney because the uterus is pushing up against it. He said I'll just have to live with the pain until I have the baby. He said I don't have kidney stones. But, I don't know if I totally believe him. The results at the ER showed otherwise. And, he wasn't very confident in his answer. So, pretty much it was a waste of time and money to go there. I didn't learn anything new and I'm still in pain. I want this baby out of me. 139 more days! I can do it, right?

Fire Station

Image
We took Bryson to the Fire Station again. Grandpa took him for a ride around the block. He loved it. He told me that when he grows up he's going to drive the truck too. I could see him doing that. I LOVE this picture of him. He looks like a tough guy.

Bad news for my cute little Dad

Image
This is my cute dad. He's so amazing. I love him so much! He's such a good example to me. He's the most caring giving person. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you asked for it. He's an awesome grandpa. He loves his little grand kids . That's why it's so hard for me when bad things happen to him. Yesterday his boss called him into his office and told him he was fired and wanted him out of his office in an hour. They gave no reason. It was so lame. We're all still a little shocked. I'm telling everyone about it because maybe somebody knows of a job opening somewhere. He's a hard worker, one of the hardest workers I know. He does Bookkeeping and HR stuff. He's really good at it. He's a great organizer and planner. So, if anyone hears of anything, please let me know! I want to him him out in anyway I can. He always helped out Pete and I when we were jobless. Unfortunately, I can't help him out financially so I'm trying to b...
