My Crippled Sisters

Image
My sister Marinda broke her arm up at college like a month ago. We hadn't seen her since it happened. She decided to come home for October Break. The day before she was to head down here, my sister Lana was playing church softball and slide into home base wrong and sprained her ankle really bad. So, when Marinda got into town, they looked like quite the pair. Everyone at church asked my mom what she was doing to her kids. It was so funny. I had to get a picture of the two crippled people. We're all wondering who's next. The sad thing is that both of these accidents happened right after my dad lost his job...and his insurance along with it. Poor dad had to pay out of pocket. When it rains it pours at my parents.

We hardly ever get all 3 of us in a picture. I love how these turned out. Here's me at 26 weeks. They belly is coming out.

New Calling

Image
I was finally released from the Nursery and from Scout Leader {what a happy day}.The new calling they gave me is RS Enrichment Leader. This craft night we has last night was mostly all planned before I was put in. So, I didn't have to do a whole lot. But, I had to go set up at 4:00 yesterday. That took a few hours, and then the craft night started as soon as we were done. So it felt like I was there all day. I was in charge of this family craft. So, I sat at this table most of the night. It was fun chatting with all my friends. I helped a few of them do theirs since I didn't sign up for any projects. We got done at 10:00 PM. I was dying by that time. My back and feet hurt so bad. Pete picked me up and then we went to my family's house and hung out for over an hour. My sister came home from college to visit for a few days. She brought 3 friends home with her. So, we all sat around and visited and ate cinnamon rolls. It was fun. When we got home I got into my jammies and cras...

Mother Natures Farm

Image
Yesterday Bryson and I had a busy day. We went to my mom's school with my dad for a little carnival thing. Bryson got a lot of little prizes and candy. Then, we took grandpa home and went to Mother Natures Farm with playgroup. It was pretty fun. It was a little hot so I got tired really fast. Bryson loved it though. And, that's what counts, right? Bryson as a Scarecrow. My best friend Hilarie and her son Ryan. Me and Bubba. Bryson playing in the hay. Bryson and I on the hayride. He really liked this. Bryson decorating the pumpkin he picked out from the "patch".

Help Me

Image
This + this = this {torture}! I'm talking about heartburn, if you didn't figure it out. I get it all day everyday! It's so horrible and unbearable. It feels like there is literally fire coming up my throat. I only get it during pregnancy. They say it means your kid has a lot of hair. It was true with Bryson. I take a ton of Tums in one day but it doesn't do much, and if it does, it doesn't last long. Milk helps for a little while too. But, nothing takes it away completely once it comes. Anyone have any good remedies or anything that helps/helped them?

The sickest stuff ever!

Image
Today at my doctors appointment I had to do the dreaded deed. I had to drink this bottle of crap. I almost didn't get it all down. I wanted to throw up when I had like 1/4 of it left. For those of you who don't know...you have to drink this bottle of gross sugary stuff, wait an hour, and then have your blood drawn. They test your blood for a few different reasons. It's called a glucose test. It's not fun. I hate the drink and I hate having my blood taken. Glad it's over! Anyone else hate this drink...or do you love the {supposedly fruit punch flavored} stuff?

Better Than Sex Cake

Image
Best cake ever....it's called Better Than Sex Cake, how can it not be great? Four layers of delicious-ness! I made this cake last night and there is only 2 pieces left tonight. It was yummy. I've been craving it for a while so I finally bought all the ingredients and made it. Probably shouldn't have, but I couldn't help myself. Here's the recipe so ya'll can indulge with me. If you haven't tried it before....you totally should. It's SO yummy! Crust: 1 cup of flour 1 stick of butter 2 tbs sugar Mix all the ingredients together and press it down into a 9 by 13 inch pan. It looks like it won't cover it all, but it will. Just flatten it really well. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let it cool. Second layer: 1 8oz package of cream cheese 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup cool whip Mix together. Spread it on top of cooled crust. Third Layer: 2 3.9oz packages of instant chocolate pudding 2 1/2 cups of milk Beat together. Spread on top of cream cheese layer...

I'm Sick of My Car

Image
So, like a year and a half ago Pete was hit by an uninsured driver. This is what happened to our car from the accident. I'm sick of driving around with one headlight! Thank you uninsured driver. I'm sick of looking at this check engine light that has been on since the accident as well. Because of the check engine light that remains on, we can't pass emissions. Therefore.... our tags are expired. I'm sick of driving around in an unregistered car! Which makes me hate to drive at all because I'm scared of running into one of these guys. I'm sick of dodging them at all costs. It's not an easy thing to do at night with one head light. Makes me stick out like a sore thumb. Last night I took the risk to go and pick up these... M y mom's homemade cinnamon rolls! They are to die for. I could never get sick of these.

Have a Good Laugh, I did

Image
I got this hilarious flier on my doorstep this afternoon. When Pete got home we had a GOOD laugh about it. I'm so glad my church doesn't have to advertise this way to get people to come to church. And, you know you live in the ghetto when it's advertised this way on the back. Pete said they misspelled some spanish words too.

I love Toll House!

Image
So, my new pregnancy craving is Nestle Toll House cookies. I have like 10 or 12 cookies a day. It's SO bad. I went to Costco a few days ago and couldn't resist getting this HUGE tub of cookie dough. YUM! This is me, ready to dive into them. I sat down with the plate of cookies and a glass of milk and did nothing...except, maybe put on a few unnecessary pounds!

Beautiful Scary Monster

Image
Bryson was in the living room coloring while I was getting ready this morning. He told me to come and look at his scary monster. I didn't think I'd actually walk in to find a scary monster. But, sure enough, he drew one. I thought it was pretty good for a 3 year old. Later in the day we went to my parents house. He told me he had to show grandpa his beautiful scary monster. How funny. I love this kid!

Delivering His First Rose

Image
Yesterday was Brittin's Birthday. Yes, they really are just 4 days apart. We went over to her house after church to give her the present Bryson bought for her {with his own birthday money}. I found this really pretty rose and I thought it would be so cute if he walked up and gave it to her as well. It was just as cute as I imagined! Bryson walking up with his present and flower. Here's Bryson handing her the rose . She was so excited when he gave it to her. It was such a cute moment! We went inside and hung out for a little while. Brittin didn't put the rose down for more than a minute or two. She kept saying {in the cutest voice ever} ,"Thank you for the flower Bryson." It was SO dang cute. Here's the two of them with the flower {yes, she's taller than him}. Notice Bryson's hand is holding her back. He did that all by himself. He knows what's up! She just sat there on the couch for a long time looking at and smelling the flower. It was so swe...

Brysons Fun Day

Image
Here are some pictures from Bryson's Birthday. In the morning his girlfriend Brittin came over and gave him a Spiderman cup and a giant cookie. It was so cute! Bryson said, " Thank you for bringing this to me." They are so stinkin' cute together. Bryson wouldn't put down his presents from Brittin. He had to carry them around with him all day while we ran errands and stuff. He had to take them into each store we went to. It was really funny. This is him outside of Target. He has his cup over his shoulder and his eaten cookie in hand! This is Bryson as we're heading to my families house for his party. His party was a Spiderman party so he matched the decorations. It was so stinkin' cute. He has a spiderman in each hand and his Spiderman cup over his shoulder. He kept making all these funny faces at me. So, I kept taking pictures. I couldn't decide which one was the funniest so I had to put them all on here. I have to say....he makes the best faces! ...

Decorating Cakes

Image
Bryson and I decorated cakes at grandmas house. She taught a cake decorating class at Taylor Jr. High the other day. She had lots of extra frosting. So, we put it to good use. Bryson loved it. Our cakes before the frosting. Putting the frosting on. I think most of it ended up in Brysons mouth, however. Our finished projects.
