Just Us

Pete and I discovered this awesome pomade. It works for everyone, but especially little boys! It's how I get Bryson's super cool do. When you put it on it doesn't get hard. It stays soft and it stays in place. If at any time during the day it gets pushed down, you just run your fingers through it and make it stick up again {and it still stays}. The best part is that it lasts all day long. I love it. They sell it at Wal-Mart for like $3.00. Ya'll should try it. You'll never go back.

Today I found out I'm having a boy....again! I was a little bummed at first, but I'm getting used to the idea. I think it will be good for Bryson. He needs someone to rough house with. It's weird to picture myself with 2 boys {three counting my husband}. I'm going to be majorly outnumbered. In the ultrasound they found a few bad things though. The baby has two cysts on it's brain {one on each side}. They say it's pretty common but they are usually gone by 18 weeks. I have to have another ultrasound in 4 weeks and if they aren't gone by then, then they'll be worried. So, we really hope they go away. Also, I've been having a lot of pain below my rib cage {for the past month}. So, I told them about it. They did an ultrasound on the area and discovered that there is something wrong with my right kidney. They didn't give me much info about it, but I saw the ultrasound and it didn't look good. When I got back from Utah {at 3:30 AM} my sweet husband had the house all clean. And, on the coffee table sat a present for me. He must have really missed me. The present was amazing. It's probably my favorite one so far. I love it! Thank you honey! I love you! My awesome watch My love note

Well, I went to Utah for 6 days with my parents. Pete had to stay home and work {It was sad leaving him here}. My sister Marinda who just graduated got accepted to Snow College, in Ephriam Utah. Her school started two days before my brother Rusty was to return home from his mission. So, we decided to have Rusty fly into the Salt Lake airport....that way we could take Marinda to the airport with us so she could see Rusty {otherwise it would be a while before they could see each other}. I also have a bother and another sister living in Utah. So, they would get the chance to see Rusty too. It was a really well planned out trip. Friday night we drove to St. George and stayed with my brother K.C. and his wife. They are expecting and due any minute. We were hoping they'd have the baby while we were there, but no such luck. We stayed there until early Monday morning. Then, we drove to Ephriam to take Marinda to school. We got there an hour before her classes started. We stayed in Eph...

I had a lot of time on my hands while in Utah, which allowed me time to play around with my new camera. By the end of the 6 days I got pretty good at it {if I do say so myself}. I have been wanting a new camera for SO long! I've been using an HP camera for a couple of years. It's worked for most purposes but the quality hasn't been exactly what I've wanted. I'm going on vacation to Utah tomorrow so I wanted to buy a new one before I left. I didn't think I'd be able to because I didn't have very much money to spend on one. But, I got a break. I went to Ultimate Electronics to look at cameras. They had this $600.00 camera on sale for $100.00. I was so suprised that it was discounted so much. So, I asked if they had any more. They checked in the back and were totally out. But, the guy said I could buy the one on display and they'd give me an additional 20% off. How could I resist that? So, I got this new amazing camera for SO cheap. I totally love it! It does all the things I've wanted my camera to do for me. I can't stop taking pictures! Here's my old camera. This is my new one. My mom and I recruited a new scout! This is my niece Abby. She was over at my moms house while we were having scouts. Bryson told my mom that Abby needed a scout shirt too. So, my mom dug one up for her too. She was just as proud as Bryson was the first time he wore it. After scouts my dad took them both to Costco {wearing their scout shirts}. I'm sure they got a lot of looks.

Bryson's been sleeping on a little tiny pillow ever since he was a baby. Whenever he crawls on mine and Pete's bed he takes over our pillows. So, I decided that maybe he wants a bigger pillow to sleep on. So, I dug one up and gave it to him. He was so excited! The next morning after he woke up it's all he could talk about. He said he had to take it into the living room. So, he did. He was so proud of it. He layed around on it all day. It was so cute. Maybe this will keep him in his own bed {cross your fingers}!

Pete loves working out, weight lifting, eating right, and educating people about nutrition. He educates people on weight loss and nutrition everyday at work. So, he's decided to start a fitness blog. Everyone knows where he works so they are always asking him advice about health. He's going to put all his advice on his blog so he can just refer people to it. So, if you have an interest in learing about this stuff you'll have to check out his blog. I helped him set it up. It's cool. He'll put new tips and advice on there all the time. It might not look like much now because he just started it. But, he has big plans for it. So, keep checking on it. The address is moprofitness.blogspot.com. My friend Erika gave me this fry bread recipe. I hope she doesn't mind if I post it on here. It's really good. I think I ate four of them in one sitting. 2 Cups of Flour 2 Tsp. Baking Powder 1/2 Tsp. Salt 1/4 Cup Oil 1/2 Cup Water Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add oil and water and mix with a fork until dough forms. Knead for 2 minutes. Cover and rest for 10 minutes. Break them into like 8 balls. Then, roll the balls out until flat. Fry them on the stove for 1 minute on each side. Top with beans and cheese or make them sweet by spreading butter on them and then powdered suger. Both are delicious!

Bryson has a little girlfriend at church. They are so cute together {they even look alike}. They stick up for each other in nursery. If a child picks up a toy that Bryson had been playing with, she takes it away from them and tells them it's Bryson's. She is also his first kiss. You go boy!Her dad told us that last sunday she was excited to go to church. She said, "I get to see Bryson today. He's so hansome!" This morning Bryson told me that he loved her, and that they were going to get married in the temple, and give kisses and love. Too cute. We always have to let them play together after church is over because we can't seperate them. So, us parents just stand there and laugh at them. Yesterday they had a fun during their "play time". The were splashing each other with water from the drinking fountain. It was pretty funny. We hope they'll really get married. We'll have to keep in touch with her parents. Ha ha.

So, I've been having a grand time with mosquitoes over the past few days. I had a solicitor come to my door a like 3 nights ago. I stood at the front door with the door open for like 10 minutes. He was trying to make me switch cable companies. All these mosquitoes kept landing on him. I was worried that some were going to come in my house so I tried to hurry him up. Sure enough, after I got him to leave, I sat on the couch and Bryson and I were immediately attacked. I killed two pretty quickly. I kept seeing another one but couldn't catch it to save my life. I spent like two hours diligently searching. I must have looked pretty silly. It got Bryson a few more times. When Pete got home he couldn't find it either. The rest of the night we kept itching our bodies. We felt like it was biting us all over. We didn't have any bites to show for it so I'm sure we were just paranoid. When it was time for bed I couldn't sleep. I just layed there for like 2 hours. I kept th...

I had a doctors appointment today. It went good. They didn't do much. They checked the heart beat. It took her forever to find the baby's heart though. She said it was moving around too much. After like 8 minutes she had to push the baby to one side of my belly and trap it there so she could find the heart beat. Afterward I just kept thinking....ohh no, I'm going to have another wild one on my hands. I couldn't believe the doctor had to pretty much quarantine it to one area. Wow. Wish me luck. After hearing the heart beat the doctor said it could possibly be a girl because the last two times she's checked the heart beat it's been really fast...in the high 160's. They say that boys beat at 130 and girls at 160. We'll see! I get to find out the gender in 19 days! Can't wait.

Purified water! Love it! I refuse to drink tap water. It's so yucky! It makes me gag...for reals. I can't get enough cobb salad. Last pregnancy salad made me want to throw up. This time I crave it like crazy! Just talking about it is making me want to go make myself a big bowl full! DVR...pretty much the greatest invention EVER! I can never watch live T.V. again! I LOVE fast forwarding commercials! Once you have a DVR I don't think you can ever go back! I know I won't. I LOVE the show Lost! Pete and I watched the first season on DVD and when we were done with all the episodes the second season was already airing on T.V. So, we started DVR-ing (I probably made that word up) the rest of the second season. We found the first like 6 episodes online and watched them. We needed 3 more though in order to be caught up to the ones we DVR-d. We just recently found one more episode. So, now we're only missing two. We can't wait to discover those on the Internet so we can...
