Beach Fun

Image
Last night we went on a family picinic/photo shoot. My sisters have been wanting beach pictures. So, we decided to make it our Family Home Evening activity last night. The pictures turned out amazing!! There is a sneek peek below {of Lana}. Brodey got to play in the sand for the first time. He couldn't quite figure out if he liked it or not. Aren't these pictures {below} SO gorgeous? I was finally able to put Photoshop onto my computer. It was a long process. My computer was all messed up {stupid Windows Vista} so we had to backup everything and then reinstall everything. Anyway, now that I have it....I'm having even more fun. But, I did want your opinion. Everyone has said that they love my unique editing style. So, if I start using Photoshop, I think my editing style is going to change. So, is that going to be a bad thing? My new style will be more like the pictures below{which is how I prefer them to look}. Do you like how they turned out? Or should I stick to my old s...

My little big boy

Image
Almost overnight Brodey turned into a little boy. He starting {army} crawling and he rode in the shopping cart without his carseat. He's a video of him crawling and a picture of his cart ride {don't you love Bryson's expression behind Brodey? He spotted a witch sitting on the shelf}.

No concept of time

Image
Don't you love how little kids have no concept of time? The other day Bryson wanted to suprise me and show me something. He said, " Mom, close your eyes for 5 years!" And yesterday Bryson was watching a movie. Pete asked Brodey if he was going to watch Barney while he was at work. Bryson responded with, "No, I'm watching my shows right now. He has to wait 2 weeks until I'm done." How does he randomly pick a number and then randomly pick either minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years? Well, however he does it....cracks me up every time!

I have a cute story to tell...

Image
So, yesterday I stopped to fill up at the gas station. When I walked inside the little store to pay, I noticed a guy standing by the counter. I thought to myself, "He's cute." I could tell that he glanced at me a few times while I was paying the cashier. But, I just tried to ignore it {cause I'm a married woman}. When I was done paying, I went outside and pumped my gas. When I was putting the gas cap on, the {cute} guy from inside walks past me and says, "You're very pretty." I was a little shocked and was barely able to say {in a shaky voice} "thank you" as he kept walking towards his truck. I looked back at him and he wasn't paying attention to me anymore. He was rearranging stuff in a trailor he had hitched to the back of his truck as if nothing had happened. So, I didn't take it like he wasn't trying hit on me. I think he was just making a statement as he passed by me. I thought it was SO cute! It totally made my day. I felt pre...

Another Haircut

Image
Short hair seems to grow faster than long hair. So, I had to cut my hair again. It's the same style as before, it's just shorter. I really like this hairstyle. I think it may be my permanent one. I lead a boring life when all I can blog about is a haircut. Ha ha!

Not the only girl anymore

Image
I drove by a sign that said free kittens. So, I called about them and they told me to come over and look at them. They weren't quite kittens...but I decided to take one anyway. I thought Bryson would have fun with her. But, ever since we've had her, she just hides all day {in the weirdest/smallest places where nobody can reach her}. And when she does come out of hiding, she runs away from us. So, I'm trying to decide if I want to keep her. It sure is nice having another female in the house...even if it is a cat. Ha ha!

Till We Meet Again

Image
My counsin had been struggling with Cancer for about 7 months or so. This morning he passed away. He was a great husband and father to two beautiful children. He was one of my favorite cousins. He lived in Utah so I didn't see him much. But, whenever I went to Utah to visit he would always make me feel so welcome at the family functions. He would let me and my sisters hang out in his room and he'd tell us stories and make us laugh. He also loved to play jokes on people. He scared the crap out out me and my sisters when we were little. He told us a ghost story in his backyard one night. Then, one of his brothers was dressed up as the scary lady he had just told us about and his brother walked by the creek bed just like he had said she did. It was so scary! We all ran away screaming our heads off. He was always doing stuff like that. I'm going to miss him so much! He had a blog where he wrote about all his struggles with cancer. If you want to check it out you can. It's: ...

Vision Board

Image
I talked about the book called The Secret several months back. Well, they made a movie out of it. I watched it and loved it. It was so inspirational. In the book and movie they tell you to make a vision board. On this vision board you're supposed to put all the things that you want. And then using the steps they teach you, you can draw them to you. One guy said that he made one and hung it on his wall. Then, they moved and it got left in a packed box for 5 years. When he pulled it out of the box 5 years later he was shocked to find that he was living in the exact house he had put on his vision board. So, watch out people.....all my visions are going to come true. A few things on my list: Lots of camera equiptment Get skinny Go on a cruise Own a boat Go on a second honeymoon to a place that has a beach Get a laptop Get a new car {SUV} Have a baby girl Buy a rockin' {and comfy} pair of red heals Buy a new {cute} couch Buy a phone that can have e-mail/internet on it Buy a new be...
