I have a cute story to tell...


So, yesterday I stopped to fill up at the gas station. When I walked inside the little store to pay, I noticed a guy standing by the counter. I thought to myself, "He's cute." I could tell that he glanced at me a few times while I was paying the cashier. But, I just tried to ignore it {cause I'm a married woman}. When I was done paying, I went outside and pumped my gas. When I was putting the gas cap on, the {cute} guy from inside walks past me and says, "You're very pretty." I was a little shocked and was barely able to say {in a shaky voice} "thank you" as he kept walking towards his truck. I looked back at him and he wasn't paying attention to me anymore. He was rearranging stuff in a trailor he had hitched to the back of his truck as if nothing had happened. So, I didn't take it like he wasn't trying hit on me. I think he was just making a statement as he passed by me. I thought it was SO cute! It totally made my day. I felt pretty for the rest of that day.
How many of us have thought things like that in our heads but never said what we were thinking to that person?
I have done it like a million times.
Now, I think I might start telling people. Who knows, maybe it will make their day!

    Well -he states the truth. And I love those days too -although I have to admit they are few and oh so far in between! But a lot of the times I'll tell someone what I'm thinking when I think it would make them feel good. Sometimes though I hold my tongue because telling a random stranger that they have a nice butt is, I think, too awkward -but if I know the person, I totally will. :)

    I know exactly what you mean. Chad tells me all the time that I'm beautiful but recently I had kinda the same experience as you and I felt pretty the rest of the day too! Why is it that when someone who loves us tells us we're pretty we don't take it as big a compliment as when a stranger tells us? I don't know the answer but it's the honest truth! I tend to tell people what's on my mind and I hope it makes their day too.

    P.S. I think you're beautiful--I've thought that since the day I met you!

Bryson's Store

We didn't have Family Home Evening last night, so we had it tonight. We made a little store for Bryson to sell candy from {it was his idea this morning}. He was in HEAVEN! Dad brought boxes home from work, bought candy on the way home, then came home and we all made it together. The huggies box is his cash register. And, we used fake money from one of our board games. We'd give Bryson the fake money and then he'd give us some candy. It was SO funny. He kept saying, "This is a fun activity!" {He picked this saying up from grandpa!} Here's the front of his store. Here's the back view of his store. Here's daddy buying his candy. When Bryson thought we had boughten enough candy, he told me to take his spot so he could buy some candy. He's not stupid! Break Dancer

We went to a wedding on Thursday night. It was a Argentine wedding so they had a ton of music and dancing. Bryson was in heaven. We couldn't get him off the dance floor! I recorded this video off of my phone so the quality isn't very good {because of the low lighing in the place}. But, hopefully, you'll still get the idea. Everyone was break dancing inside a circle. I could tell Bryson wanted to go out on the floor so bad. So, I told him to go do it. And he did. That part is at the very beginning of the video. Then, he went out and danced with everyone else. He had some good moves. I couldn't get too much on video because people kept walking in front of me. But, this should be enough to make you laugh .

Bryson's Girlfriend

Bryson has a little girlfriend at church. They are so cute together {they even look alike}. They stick up for each other in nursery. If a child picks up a toy that Bryson had been playing with, she takes it away from them and tells them it's Bryson's. She is also his first kiss. You go boy!Her dad told us that last sunday she was excited to go to church. She said, "I get to see Bryson today. He's so hansome!" This morning Bryson told me that he loved her, and that they were going to get married in the temple, and give kisses and love. Too cute. We always have to let them play together after church is over because we can't seperate them. So, us parents just stand there and laugh at them. Yesterday they had a fun during their "play time". The were splashing each other with water from the drinking fountain. It was pretty funny. We hope they'll really get married. We'll have to keep in touch with her parents. Ha ha.
