Kittens anyone? Going once, going twice....

Funny story. My brother Rusty was sleeping one night. He was awoken by a loud noise under his bed. He turned on the light to investigate. He was suprised to be staring into the eyes of a stray cat. He woke up my mom and told her about it. She went into his room to see. When they walked back in, the cat was walking into his closet. They opened his closet door wider and were VERY suprised to find baby kittens curled up in the corner. They have no idea how they got in there. The kittens looked like they were about a week old. My brother let them stay in his room. But, everyone kept going in there to look at them. I think the mamma cat got nervous. So, she moved them into my moms closet. One day the momma cat pooped in my moms closet. It was then that the mamma cat was kicked out of the house {with durastic measures}. Unfortunetly for my mom, the cat took it as a permanent thing. She hasn't come back. It's been over a week. So, my mom is now the proud mother of two kittens. She has to feed them every four hours. It's so funny. They other day when we were over there she was delighted to inform us that her kittens finally slept through the night. Ha ha ha! We all couldn't stop laughing about that. We made fun of her for being the cat lady. There are about 3 other stray cats living outside my parents house. She keeps feeding them. So, now she owns like 5 cats. And, she doesn't really even like cats. My dad really does not like cats. So, while my mom is gone at work everyday I have to go over to my parents or my dad has to bring the kittens over to my house so I can feed them their afternoon feeding. Bryson loves it. He's like their little mother. He has a good time making them do things they probably totally hate. When they were at our house the other day I got some good pictures of it. Bryson with the two kitty's. The black one is the runt. He's so tiny!

The big kitty. He's cute, huh? He even smiled for me.

Bryson feeding the big kitty. He wrapped him in his {clean} underwear so he wouldn't scratch him. Smart kid.

Baby kitty got to go for a ride in a bucket.

Then, he went for a horsey ride.

Then, he got his lunch.

Then, he went for a ride in a firetruck. I couldn't believe he actually fit inside it. I guess he is the runt, though. He's about half the size of the other one.

Then, he went for a ride on a bus.

Big kitty got to go down a slide. The slide makes noise when that purple flap is lifted. Bryson enjoying hearing the kitty make the noise. So, unfortunetely for the cat, he got to go down it lots of times.
Well, I'm getting tired of feeding them during the day. And, my mom doesn't want to keep the kittens. So, we're trying to find them a happy new home. So, if anyone wants a cute little kitten to add to their family please let me know. They are really sweet. You have to feed them every four hours during the day {with a little bottle}. But, they do sleep through the night. If interested, let me know!

  1. oh my gosh, I hate cats. Ick. But, they do make my nose itch and run and my eyes water. Even if I don't touch them. The picture of the runt in the bucket is hilarious---its paws are splayed out like it is looking desperately for something to grip!

What a funny story! We had that happen in our yard, found a cat with 6 kittens under our BBQ grill, but when she left she took the kittens with her- thank goodness! That is mind boggling how she got into your brothers closet- so funny! Well, looks like they'll be use to kids and the perfect family pet!

  5. I HATE cats!! I am MAJOR allergic to cats. My best friend in HS had a cat (she actually taught it how to sit and shake) and I couldn't go to her house unless her mom vacuumed the house really good and kept the cat out while I was there. I still got red, itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose and the whole nine yards. It was awful. So...NO cats here...sorry!

  6. That is so funny. Emma was talking about kittens when we left that day. I kept asking her did you play outside, she's like no a man with a box had them. Now I know what she was talking about. My kids are all animal lovers but, James would never go for a kitten sorry you know what happened last time we took one of your animals. : ( Cute kittens though. Bryson looks like he enjoys them. : )
