I'm Sick of My Car

So, like a year and a half ago Pete was hit by an uninsured driver. This is what happened to our car from the accident. I'm sick of driving around with one headlight! Thank you uninsured driver.

I'm sick of looking at this check engine light that has been on since the accident as well.

Because of the check engine light that remains on, we can't pass emissions. Therefore....

our tags are expired. I'm sick of driving around in an unregistered car!

Which makes me hate to drive at all because I'm scared of running into one of these guys. I'm sick of dodging them at all costs. It's not an easy thing to do at night with one head light. Makes me stick out like a sore thumb. Last night I took the risk to go and pick up these...

My mom's homemade cinnamon rolls! They are to die for. I could never get sick of these.

  1. I know how you feel. When I was pregnant with Dylan, I was in a car accident and the other driver didn't have insurance, so I had to pay for EVERYTHING. I wasn't happy!

  2. ooooh, how scary. Cars are such a pain. Such a necessity in our modern world, but such a pain. Makes ya wish for the old horse 'n' buggy days huh? No one had to worry about expired tags on a horse! But the cinnamon rolls might have gotten squashed in the saddle bags.

  3. Cinnamon rolls=good. Cars that frustrate us=bad. Yeah, uninsured drivers are the best, huh? I am sorry you have to deal with this. Good thing you have the cinnamon rolls to drown your sorrows. They look delish!

  4. I feel your pain! I was hit by a driver without insurance. Luckily no one was hurt, but I have yet to have my bumper looked at to see if it needs replacing. (there is no dent) I just do not want to pay for it! At least the guy that hit me went to jail. I'm not sure why though, all I saw was him being handcuffed and taken away.

  6. Oh YUCK! Sorry 'bout all that. I wouldn't dare get in my car at all. I'm kind of cop-o-phobic as it is.

Bryson is such a kick. I swear so much of his personality comes out in your stories. I'm sure in person its even more pronounced. We're not coming home for Christmas, but next Summer we definitely need to get together. It would be fun to see the kids all together.

  7. That totally sucks. We feel the same way about our truck. When my parents lived with us, my Dad would drive Chad's truck to work and one night some idiot broke the lock, and stole the stereo out of it! So my Dad bought us a new stereo but didn't give us money to pay to get it installed and we don't have extra money for it either...and the lock didn't get fixed, the inside door handle didn't work, so you had to roll the window down to open the door from the outside. Talk about ghetto!! FINALLY about 2 years later, Chad's handy-dandy uncle Alan offered to help and he fixed the lock and the door handle, but we still haven't got the stereo installed so we drive it in silence! Which isn't all that bad, gives you time to think!

  9. We used to have a car the exact same color!(do you remember it-Jake had it when he was single) anyway-my check engine light just went on too. I hate that. I just got my emissions a couple of weeks ago-I'm glad it didn't go on before that.
