Working Woman
My old boss called me up last week and begged me to work a few days for her. Her family was coming into town so she wanted to be home with them. I initally told her no. But, then she called me back and offered me a lot of money for working just two days. So, how could I say no to that. Yesterday was more work than today.I took Bryson with me yesterday. I used to take Bryson with me every time I worked {when I was a regular employee there}. I don't know how I did it. I must have been crazy! I was so tired when I got home. Today went by fast. Pete had the day off so he kept Bryson. They brought me lunch around 1:30 and then decided to just stay and hang out with me until my shift was over at 3. I took my mini DVD player to keep myself entertained {it can get very boring there at times}. I was sure glad to have it. It was really slow today. I came to a conclusion at the end of my shift: I LOVE being a stay-at-home Mom. Nothing beats it!

hey, thats cool that she paid ya well. You should have called me. I would have gone it to see ya/scrummage through the clothes to see if there is anything worth buying. Call me next time. ps. I used to work at a laundry mat, but it was next to an old fogie neighborhood and those were the only people who ever came in.
ReplyDeleteFun times. Do you have to fill out a W2 form now?
ReplyDeleteYou looked so cute today! I love the pigtails! I wish I could make some good money for a couple of days work!
ReplyDeleteI love second hand stores, you can find way cute stuff for dirt cheap. I should have come in to visit and look around. That's nice you didn't have to take Bryson and got to relax a bit and get paid for it.
ReplyDeletestay @ home mom = the best. especially for people like me who have severe hermit tendencies & really don't like to put makeup on unless they have to.
ReplyDeleteyay for a quick buck @ work though! which store is that?
Lets be honest. Yesterday shortly after I was smacked in the face by a basketball (kicked by a kid three feet away) during playground duty (me and 4 second grade classes) I was really looking forward to the day when I can be a stay at home mom too!
ReplyDeleteok, so I was looking at your "our story" about how you and Pete met and all, anywho, I think it's time you updated it a bit. (not to be nosey)But it says that you do not yet know the jender of baby #2 (brodie). just a little fyi
ReplyDeleteYou're a dork Carlie! Ha ha
ReplyDeleteGood times, you earned money while kickin' it with your feet up watching a movie. I love it! Your shades rock.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of that store? How long did you work there?
ReplyDeleteHey, I just noticed, why am I, Jessica Lamont, not on your friends list? ha ha J/K
ReplyDeleteI never knew you worked for Kids Exchange! That's it right? My lil sis is addicted to that place...
ReplyDeletecan't beat getting payed to watch a movie! Sometimes I get payed to read (on rare slow days) or surf the net. Goes by slow though. Looks like a cute store!
