Ramblings of a Pregnant Lady

This weekend has been interesting. My whole family went to Utah to see the blessings of my two nephews. I was sad that I had to miss out. But, with Pete's new job we didn't think we could swing it. I just hate missing out on a good party. Instead, I got stuck kitty sitting. My mom had noplace else for her little kittens to go. I really didn't want to take them but felt bad and did it anyway. THEY ARE SO ANNOYING!! I'm ready to kills them {not literally}. They cry all the time, they are dirty, they pooped all over my new carpet, the keep scratching me, they keep following me around the house, etc.. Needless to say, I'll be happy to hand them back over tonight.

Yesterday I was bored all day. Pete was gone for a few hours longer than he normally is. Saturdays they start selling earlier. Those extra few hours make a big difference {to me}. It seemed like he was gone forever. When he got home I wanted to get out of the house. But, he wanted to sit and relax {he'd been on his feet all day}. I finally convinced him to go out to eat at Chili's. It was supposed to be enjoyable, but it wasn't.....thanks to Bryson. He was on rare form, to say the least. So, we all left Chili's pretty cranky. Bryson went straight to bed when we got home. Pete sat and watched sports. And, I layed on my bed and read Twilight. I'm completely sucked into now. I forgot home much I love reading.

Pete is doing really well with his new job. I was a little scared at first. But, now I'm glad we switched. He's been selling one or two security systems a day. It's amazing. He's already made more money this week then he did in a month at his old job. I'm so proud of him. We're going to try to get a new car soon with the extra money he's pulling in. We both can't stand our other car much longer.

We went to our new ward today. It was weird. I hate going to a new ward. It takes so long to feel like you fit in. I felt bad for Bryson. He missed Brittin. He told Pete and I that nobody at church talked to him. He had the saddest look on his face as he said it too. It broke my heart. Poor guy. I was uncomfortbale the whole time at church. Their chairs did NOTHING for a pregnant lady. I just wanted to go home and lay down. When we got home I made pancakes and then I went and took a nap. It felt great. When I came out of the bedroom I found Bryson and daddy asleep on the couch too. It was so cute. I just had to take a picture. They look so much alike.

Well, a new week starts today. And, Pete only has to work 3 days of it. Yeah! I love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday. And, I get to celebrate it twice! Bonus! My family is having theirs on Thursday and Pete's is having theirs on Saturday. I'm so excited. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

  1. ugh, what an annoying weekend. So glad this week will be better! And bonus about the extra cash for a car. Hopefully you can drive a registered car soon, haha. New wards are weird, I've decided. I think it takes 6-12 months to fully incorporate into a new ward and feel like you belong. Maybe you'll have it worse since you were going to the ward you grew up in? Hopefully things change soon!

It's hard switching wards, but hopefully you'll feel comfortable there soon! I don't think there's many things to help a pregnant lady feel comfortable... I'm glad that the new job is working out for you guys!

  4. I know how tough switching wards can be, hang in there and remember that you are probably not the only new person in the ward...so just through yourself into the activities, etc. and be proactive in making those friendships. :)

The book you mention sounds good. I'll have to add it to my list. I've been working on being positive lately and I'm glad to hear that your hubby is liking his new job! :)

Sounds like life is good -minus a couple of kittens... :)

  6. It was so cute but sad at the same time on Sunday in Nursery during snake time Brittan went to go sit down and said that the seat next to her was saved for Bryson. Then someone said that he was not coming and she had the saddest look on her face. It was so sad but cute too.

    We miss you.
