Grocery Shopping Spree

Image
I don't know about anybody else....but, when we go to the grocery store we can only ever afford the bare necessities. We always have to tell Bryson he can't buy certain things that he wants. And, that's heart breaking. Well, a few days ago we had the opportunity to go to the store and have a hay day. We got to go on a shopping spree. We literally spent over $300 in 12 minutes. It was the funnest thing ever!! My sister Lana was staying at our house so she got in on the action too. Lana, the boys, and I ran off with one cart and got mostly junk food and random stuff. I let Bryson buy whatever he wanted. And, he was SO happy. And, Pete ran off with another cart and filled up on all the healthy food. So, we came out with a good mix. We filled up TWO grocery carts. I've always been jealous of people walking around the store who have one whole cart full. I felt so blessed to have two full carts! We had so much food it wouldn't all fit in our trunk. It was packed all aroun...

Blessing

Brodey started eating baby food. I wanted to buy a ton of it. But, whenever I'd go to the store I just couldn't justify spending money on it. So, I just kind of put the wish out into the world. And, low and behold....my wish was granted. My friend asked me if I needed baby food because she had some that her baby didn't eat. I told her to bring it on over. I was thinking it would be a few cans. I was shocked when she carried this all in. It was just what I needed. I was so happy. Thank you so much Cindi! Brodey loves it all!

Batman obsession!

Image
Bryson's new obsesion is BATMAN! And, luckily for us, the new batman movie just came out so there is batman stuff everywhere. We found this awesome mask for him. He hasn't taken it off since we gave it to him. I find him in the bathroom all the time just looking in the mirror and talking in his batman voice. I think he likes how he looks. I told him the other day that I thought he was Spiderman. And he replied,"I'm both super heroes, mom!" Last night we decided to take him to see the Batman Movie. He wore this outfit to the theater and left it on the whole time. Everyone that saw him would say..."Oh, how cute!" And it really was. This was him during the movie. He was SO into it. He kept asking where Batman was. One time during the movie it was dead quiet for a second and Bryson chose to talk right then. He said, "Batman is beating those guys up because he's SO TUFF!" It was so funny. Everyone started laughing. He's him after the movi...

Happy Anniversary to me!

Image
Yesterday was my fifth anniversary. Yes, 5. I can't believe I've been married for that long. There were times when we didn't think we'd make it this far. But, I'm glad we stuck with each other and made it through. I love you honey! To start the day off, we ate lunch at Ned's Crazy Subs. It was delicious. It was Pete's first time there, if you can believe it. Then, we went to the mall and went shopping! It was fun. We bought Bryson 4 outfits at The Childrens Place. Each piece was only $3.00. What a steal. Then we found me 4 shirts fir $2.00 each. I love bargin shopping! Then, we went to eat at Cadillac Ranch or something. It was ok. It was dark in the place so I didn't open my flash to take this picture because I didn't want everyone to look at us. The food was pretty good. I got hot wings and they were a bit too hot. So, I ate off of Pete's plate. These license plates were all over part of the ceiling. It was really cool. Then, we went to Temp...

Today for playgroup we made sock puppets. Bryson had fun. Here's a picture of his puppet. He even has a tongue hanging out.

New Haircut

Here's a better picture of my haircut. I know these pictures look a little riskey but I really couldn't see what was in the viewfinder. I just had the camera on a tripod and pushed the button with a remote. Not too bad, eh?

Genius!

I've been meaning to post this for a couple of days. This actually happened the day before the 4th of July. I was driving to my parents house to spend the day. I reached the four way stop just before their house. I looked both ways before going and when I did that I caught a glimpse of someone. I thought to myself "That looks like Larissa {my sister}." Then, I said to myself, "That IS Larissa!" Then, I took a closer look at said, "And there's my dad!" It was so strange to look up and see them there. So, I pulled into the parking lot to see what was up. Well, my sister wanted to have a lemonade stand so my dad went down to the corner with her to be her body guard. He worked on a drawing project the whole time. He just loves sitting under trees to write or work on projects. Here he is plugging away. And here's cute little Larissa. I thought she was crazy for doing this until she told me she had done the same yesterday and made $61.00 in 3 hours...

My sister Marinda and Brodey Pete and I . BTW, if you didn't notice....I cut my hair off. It's so nice and cool. This is what Bryson picked out to wear for the occassion. It was so funny.
