Eating/living out of boxes

Yesterday we got the keys to our house. It was a great moment. After we got the keys we went and got Pete's dad's truck and then went and got my grandpas big trailer. Then, began loading everything into my grandpa's trailer. It all fit into one trailer load. So, that was good. We couldn't get anyone except my parents to help us out. So, my mom stayed home and watched our kids and my dad helped us load and unload everything from the trailer. It really didn't take long since it was all boxed up already. We just had to go to a few different places to get all of our stuff. We had stuff at Pete's parents house, at my parents house, at two different storage units, and in Hilaries garage. Unloading it into our new garage was the easiest part since we just took it straight out of the trailer and put it in the garage {to be sorted out later}. When it was all unloaded we retured the trailer, took my dad home, picked up our kiddos, returned the truck, and then headed home. We didn't really mess with the boxes in the garage. We just brought in the ones we really needed. We really just wanted to eat and relax but it was an adventure to just do that. We had to dig around in boxes to find the food.We couldn't ever find the box of kitchen bowls and plates. So, as you can see in the picture below, Bryson ate dinner {cereal} out of a big mixing bowl with a very giant spoon. Ha ha. It was really funny. And, we don't have a kitchen table {we gave it away a while ago because our last two houses were supplied with them} so we had to eat off of the floor. It was great fun. Anyone have an extra kitchen table?? Then, we wanted to watch Friends but we had to set up the T.V., set up the dvd player, and find the box that had all the seasons of Friends. So, by the time we got all that done we were exhausted. We all fell asleep before the first episode of Friends was over. When one of us realized it, we convinced the others to get up, and we stammered to our beds and fell into a wonderful nights sleep.....until we were awoken to the cry of a newborn wanting food. Here's Bryson eating his dinner out of the moster bowl.

Here's what my house looked like last night.
It looks a lot better today. But, I still have a lot of work to do.

  2. Oh geez, I hate moving. Looks like a nice house though! Hey, and I think I might have a kitchen table for you. Let me check and I'll get back to you. And I'll still let you know when we're in Mesa again for pictures. We had absolutely no time to sneak away on Saturday.
