A Crazy Month
Ever since Pete went to Guatamala things have been crazy for us. When Pete got home he was told he would get paid right away for 20 out of the 84 recruits. So, we were expecting $10,000.00 in our bank account. The day before it was to go into our account his regional manager called him and told him that he had spoken with his laywers and his laywers found out that they can't get visa's for the guys to come oner to the states for like 6 months to a year, if ever. So, they stopped the payment we were going to get and told Pete to get back to knocking doors. This didn't set well with us because we spend money for Pete to go down to Guatamala and Pete didn't earn money for several weeks before he left because he was getting everything in place to go. If it took his manager all of a day to find out they couldn't get Visa's then why didn't they find this information out before Pete went down there? His manager that went down there with him was scheduled to get $10,000.00 as well for 20 of the guys. Well, they didn't stop his payment from going into his account. So, he got paid on the guys and Pete didn't, although it was Pete's idea, Pete did all the work to get down there, and he did all the work while they were there. His manager was bragging to everyone about all this new stuff he has boughten with the money. It made Pete really mad {rightfully so}. We talked it over and decided we didn't want to work for the company anymore. Besides all the mess with the Guatamala deal, we realized they had been lying to us about a lot of stuff, and Pete realized he didn't like knocking doors. So, Pete set out to find another job. But, we didn't tell the alarm company because they were paying for our apartment and if we quit we'd have no where to live. So, everyday he'd go out with the guys to knock and then I'd pick him up and he'd go looking for a job. Then, I'd drop him back off when the guys we getting done and he'd ride back with them. So, everyone thought he was still working for the company. It was funny. When we had a job lined up and we found a place to live we told Pinnacle Security that we were done. They all tried to talk us out of it. But, we didn't go for it. We were glad to walk away.
Pete now works for The Keg, as a Chef. It has the best steaks ever. Here's a picture one. If you've never been here, you should go. It's yummy. Pete really enjoys cooking, so he's having a blast. The bonus is that we get 40% off all the food. It makes date nights cheaper!

All the apartments we looked at were so expensive. And, we hate living in apartments. So, we started looking at houses for rent. The cheapest ones were out in Queen Creek. So, we started looking out there. My BF Hilarie told me that the house across the street from her was for rent. So, we called on it and it was perfect for us. It had a low depost, no credit check, and the payment was perfect. So, we met with the owners and signed paperwork a couple of days ago. I'm SO excited to live right across fom Hilarie! How many people can say they live right across the street from their best friend?! We're going to have way too much fun! The only bad thing is that it's not available until March 28th.
We had to be out of our apartment by today. Which left us with no place to live for a little less than a month. So, we asked my parents if we could move in with them. They said yes, although they are strapped for money and don't know how they will pay their house bill this month (my dad's still out of a job).
So, we started moving out on Monday. It has been a lot of work. We moved all the big stuff to my friend hilarie's house so we just have to move it across the street. And everything else we put in my in-laws storage unit. So, all we have with us at my parents is our clothes. It should be an interesting month because of this.
We can't wait to get into the house. It's what we've always wanted. Bryson really needs a yard to run around in. Hopefully the long drive will be worth it.
All during this time {of figuring everything out} we wear all sick as dogs, even Brodey. We were really worried about Brodey. He could hardly breathe because he had so much mucas down his throat. We took him to the doctors office alot. There wasn't any medicine we could give him because he's so little. So, we had to do home remidies. We finally got rid of it. We're finally all healthy.
We also had to buy two new tires. That's always fun and never comes at a good time.
So, we're hoping this next month has less drama and stress. We'll see how it goes....
Wow you guys have been busy. I was wondering what you have been up to. Well that sucks about Pete's job, glad he got a new one quick. Have fun living in QC.
