New Vs. Old
We're finally in our new apartment. It's SO much better then our last {you'll see}. Pete and I were talking last night and decided we never really felt at home at our last apartment. It felt like we were living in somone else's house. If you'll look at the picture below you'll see it has has two doors. The owner of the place lived on the right side of the black mailboxes and we lived on the left side of the mailboxes. The owner would wake up at like 5:30 in the morning and mow his lawn, plant flowers, talk to neighbors, ect. He'd wake us up early several times a week. It was really annoying. It made it feel like it was his space and we were invading upon it. Here, we feel lke it's our place. We feel like normal human being again. It's such a nice feeling. We're all so happy. Bryson loves having his own room. Yesterday he said to my sister, "I have a new room, new toys, new trucks, and whatever I want!" It was so funny. He thinks all of his toys are new just because they are in a new location. It's so funny. Well, here are some pictures.
This is the outside of our old place.
The place looks great. Can't wait to see it!! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteLove the new place. So exciting and it came furnished how nice is that. It looks like there is a lot of space. Love the shower curtain that you got. How fun to get to decorate a new place, that's my favorite part. I will have to come and see it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Gosh, I bet it feels so good to be in there!
ReplyDeleteI love your new place. I dig the clock on the wall in the old living room pic though. Oh! You should get a slipcover for your ugly but comfortable couch to make it cute to fit in with your new trendy megaplex home!! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWow, you go girl. it looks awesome! i can't wait to see it. love you!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm so glad you are able to live in a place you like!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!! I know how it is to live in a part of town like you used to...it sucks!! Glad your out of that mess.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have all the extra space!! And oh, the joys of the cop chopper shining the light on your yard because they are looking for someone! I am happy to be out of inner Mesa. :) Enjoy your new place!
ReplyDeleteOh man thats awesome. The place looks great. Isn't it funny how the little things like a clean bathroom or a washer and dryer are so huge! Th place is very nice.

How awesome for your fam! So happy for ya, laundry convenience & a fun, new change! Very cute shower curtain, as well!
ReplyDeleteThe new place looks awesome. And so clean.
ReplyDeleteI'm so scared of the ghetto bird. We live by Westwood High School and right after we moved in, I was taking the trash out and I heard a loud speaker. I thought it was the ghetto bird and ran inside and locked all the doors. When Cooper got home I told him that I heard the ghetto bird and he just started laughing. It was actually the Westwood football game. The speakers are that loud. (You can hear the whole game if we open our door on game nights.) I laughed too, but I'm still scared of the ghetto bird.
How nice.....isn't it so fun when you actually have space!! It all looks so good.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny! The "ghetto stuff" reminds me of our old neighborhood & even though we're back to renting again...I don't miss the drama. It's nice to be able to take a walk or the kids out to play and not feel like you are going to get mugged, rapped, shot, etc, etc...The new place looks very nice...I hope you love it:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Kaylea- how exciting! I'm glad that you like your new place, it's really cute! What a nice kitchen! I totally feel how bad it sucks to move this far pregnant, but your place looks really good! congrats again!
ReplyDeleteHi Kaylea,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog invite! If you send me your email, I can invite you to mine. onesmartchicken@gmail.com
Your new place looks really nice! And your old house totally reminds me of our first apartment close to the temple.
I couldn't stop laughing at the ghetto ice cream/candy or whatever crap he has in his little bike shop....LOL!!! The fact that you actually took a picture of him is hilarious!!! I hate his stupid horn too!! And now there's an ice cream van that drives down our street EVERY evening that plays the MOST ANNOYING song OVER AND OVER!! Aaarrrggggh!! Oh yeah, plus the "Tamale Lady" who pushes her cart down the street knocking on doors. Who the heck knows what's in those things?? I don't want to find out! Oh yeah, about your comforter, there are some on Final Clearance at Mervyns for $15 that are regularly $200!!! They are really nice too. They are marked down to $30 and then today and tomorrow all final price clearance ($2,$4,$6,$8,$10,$20,$30) are half off!!! You should go check it out and get some baby clothes for like 1 or 2 bucks! What size bed do you guys have?
ReplyDeleteI miss you already!! I feel like you are so far away and I don't get to see you at church anymore :(
Sorry for the novel....:)
How nice for you guys to have a new place that you love! It does look like it would be much more comfortable to live in. Glad Pete's job is going well also!
ReplyDeletep.s. For some reason when you invited me to your blog I was invited under a different user name than I usually use. If you click on my name here in the comments it won't take you to my blog, and I always have to sign in under the different user name in order to read your blog. I tried to change that, but think it may need to be done on your end of things?
