Trip to the ER

So, I've still been having pain around my right kidney. My doctors office sent me to get all these tests done. It was taking forever to get the results back though. Finally yesterday I got sick of waiting. I was in so much pain and I felt so nausous and light headed. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands, so to speak. I had my dad take me to the Emergency Room. I only had to wait in the waiting room for 5 minutes, so that was cool. Pete came down to the hospital after work. He got there like 30 minutes after I did. My mother-in-law head the news and she was right by the hospital so she came down too. So, I had a lot of support there. They gave me some pain medicine...which was so AWESOME! I felt like I was on a cloud. It was so nice to be pain-free. My dad and Sara headed home when they starting running tests. I basically did all the same tests I had done last week, but it was all done fast. And, the results we fast...which was what I wanted. I wanted answers. It turns out that I have kidney stones. The kidney stones are also backing up the fluid in my kidneys. My kidney is all swollen and inflammed. They don't know exactly where the stones are because they can't give me a CAT scan, or whatever, since I'm pregnant. So, I have to go to a Urologists and they have to try to remove them through me urethra. FUN, huh? So, they slapped me with a good old prescription and sent me home. Good times!

Me doped up on drugs

All I have left to show for my fun evening

Anyways I am glad your okay and hopefully you get that taken care of soon, so you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. You look great. Talk to ya later.

  9. At least you have war stories about pregnancy! I think that is the best thing about going through all of this so that when we are 50 and done we can compare all the horrible things that happened. Feel better!!

  10. kidney stones, OUCH! I've never been a pt. in the ER, nor have I ever had kidney stones, but I hear both are an unpleasant experience. At least they're going to try to get them out rather than just letting them pass on their own! Painful! What pain medicine did they give you? Glad it's working!
