Lots of errands!
Today I spent the whole day running errands. It was actually lots of fun. I like running errands, but don't do it very often anymore {Due to these thing: the kid keeps me busy, too hot outside, don't feel well, or don't want to take Pete to work so I can have the car}. Pete had the day off to recovery so I took advantage and got out by myself. It was great to be alone {never thought I'd say that}. One of my errands was a T-mobile store .I bought this super cool phone! I've been wanting to buy it for awhile. My sister {who's on my family plan} dropped {and totally damaged} her phone. Since I was eligable for an upgrade and she wasn't, I told her I'd get a new one and send her my old one...which isn't very old {it's a cool black razor phone}. Needless to say, I was SO sad to be forced to buy the phone I want! :) Ha ha.
This was my BIGGEST accomplishment for the day! Our computer has been making a horrible noise for quite some time. It's been really frustrating because we just bought it like 6 months ago. Last night the computer kept shutting off by it's self. I took a look at it a discovered that the motor was burning hot. It was obviously overheating. I suspected for a while now that it was probably a fan but just kept ignoring it. I decided if I waited any longer I'd probably blow up my computer. SO, I, yes, I took out the computer part that I thought was having the problem and took it down to this little computer store. They tested it {the power supply} and said that it was dead. I couldn't believe that I totally figured out what was wrong with my computer! So, I bought the part. They warned me that I might need to buy an adapter because they new power supply was a little different than my last one. I took it home and soon discovered that I did need the adapter. So, I went back to the store and bought it. I came home and tried to install it again but I soon learned that the adapter wasn't long enough. I couldn't make it reach all the plugs it needed to. So, little old me decided to move my CD drive down to the lower CD drive spot {it was empty} so it would be closer to all the other plugs I needed it to reach. I really didn't think it would work. I thought for sure I'd screw it up. BUT, I DIDN'T! I TOTALLY DID IT. I totally moved around, disconnected, and unscrewed lots of things on my computer and managed to put it all back together and make it work. I was a little nervous about pushing the button on, but not to worry. Everything works good. I'm so proud of myself. Here's a picture of the inside of my computer. I totally mastered all those cords. I'm amazing!
On my journey I also went to Old Navy and bought myself some maternity pants. They are so cute. They even make my butt look cute. Pregnancy pants never do that. Usually they leave much to be desired. What a successful day!
Ohh yeah, and after all my running around I had to come home and make two batches of brownies for my cub scout pack meeting. Then, I had to go to pack meeting. I did so much today! Go me!

Wow you go girl. Your awesome figuring out that computer stuff. I don't even try because I just don't get it. You were a busy girl yesterday sorry I had to bug you so much on the phone. Don't you feel good when you get a lot accomplished in one day. Now you can have a relaxing day Right? I know I don't know what a relaxing day is. But, I like to think about it everyonce in a while. I want to see those cute pants. I love oldnavy.
ReplyDeleteI am SO impressed!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! I would never have even attempted to try and fix the comp. I would let Bo worry bout it. But then again if I left it up to Bo to get done, it prob. wouldn't. He heasnt mowed our grass in 2 weeks and it looks like a jungle in our front yard, And you dont even want to see the backyard.
ReplyDeleteThat is rad. I love going to bed at the end of a productive day and just thinking about everything I did, give a sigh of contentment, and just bask in the glory of productive accomplishment. Congrats on your good day!
