Bad day!

Yeasterday was such a bad day. Pete was home sick still so we were all home together. Bryson was really driving us crazy. We decided that he never shuts up. If he's not talking, he's singing, or making noises with his mouth. And, he just loves jumping all over us. Which, in our current conditions, isn't very pleasant. He's not so good with listening to us either{venting, sorry}. By 6:00 we were ready to pull our hair out. We thought he just needed to get out of the house. So, we decided to go out to eat at Red Robins. BAD IDEA! He was SO naughty!! It was really embarrassing! He screamed because he wanted to play with the video games at the front of the place, he cried because he wanted a balloon, he was mad about his food, and then he spilled Pete's drink all over the table. I just wanted to pack up and leave. The waitress was really nice about it. She brought Bryson a free ice cream sundae and that shut him up and made him happy for like 5 minutes. That gave us enough time to scarf down our food. When Pete was done eating he took Bryson to play with the stupid video games and I stayed and ate a few more french fries and then payed the bill. As we were walking out the front doors I realized I gave the waitress WAY to much money to cover the bill. She would get a big fat tip. I guess my brain was too frazzled or something. I begged Pete to go talk to her and get some of the money back. But, he wouldn't so, I had to go back in and embarrass myself further. I tagged her down and asked her if I gave her two 20's. She said, "yeah, I was wondering about that. I was like dang that was nice of them". She was really nice about it and gave me back all the money and let me redo the math. I felt SO stupid. I gave her back the amount needed and got the H _ _ _ out of there. What a rotten evening. Bryson fell asleep on the ride home. Thank goodness. I wasn't looking forward to conviencing him to go to sleep after we got home. I'm glad he did it on his own. When we got home we layed him in his bed, put our jammies on, sat on the couch, and heaved a HUGH sigh of relief!

  2. The only good thing about days like that is that they only last 24 hours!

  3. I've so had days like that! We don't go out to dinner with the kids hardly ever. I don't enjoy my meal nearly as much. We should switch nights so we both have a little peace!
