Crazy Day
So, yesterday was a pretty crazy day. At 3:30 I went over to my parents house to eat lunch with my mom. As soon as I got there Bryson was really clingy and kept wanted me to hold him. After like 45 minutes he said he felt sick. I thought he was just tired so I tried to get him to sleep. But, he wouldn't sleep so I thought maybe he was hungery. So, I took him over to the table. As soon as I got to the table he threw up all over. I guess he was sick after all. Poor guy. So, I cleaned up the mess and then put him in the bath. He didn't look too good so I decided to just take him home. I was supposed to stay and help with Scouts (my mom and I are scout leaders for the 8 year old scouts in the ward) but I just wanted to get get Bryson home. As soon as I layed Bryson on the couch at home he threw up again. After I cleaned up the mess he fell right to sleep. He threw up a few more times through the night. At 8:30 or so we were both laying on the couch watching t.v. when all of a sudden we heard a gun shot RIGHT outside our window! We hear gunshots all the time in our hood, but they are usually off in the distnace a little. I was shocked to hear one SO close and didn't know what to do. Then, another shot rang out and it sounded closer then the last one. I grabbed Bryson and ran into the hall way and layed on the ground. There were 4 more shot fired while we were in the hall. I hurried and called Pete at work and asked him what to do. He said to call the cops, duh! So, I called 911 and told them what happened. They said they'd send the cops over. They told me that'd come to my door and let me know what happened. When I hung up with them I called my parents, who only like 1/2 mile away. I told them what happened and my mom told me she'd send my dad over to be with us. I told he not to send him right away in case the person was still outside. I had no idea what was happening outside. I was scared to go to the window for fear I'd get shot. So, we just layed in the hallway. After like 15 minutes I decided to take a chance. I crawled to the front window and looked out. I saw the search helicopter looking all down the street. But, that was it. There were no cop cars or anything. The street was quiet. Thankfully, My dad got there a few minutes later and stayed until Pete got home. My dad said he saw some cops on the side of the road on his way over. But, the police never came to my door to let me know what happened or anything! Now, I wish I would have gone to the window when I heard the gun shots! If I had, I would have at least known what happened out there. It's still a mystery to me. I just know I was scared crapless!
Kaylea, you have to come move over here by me! It was so crazy to come across your blog! How fun! COme over and see me sometime, I'm always here!
ReplyDeleteDid you hear about the guy who shot his girlfriend in those apartments the other night? Maybe that's what you heard??? That's weird how you hear gunshots all the time and we never hear anything and we only live down the street from you!
ReplyDeleteErica...how did you find my blog? That's so funny! Do you have one? Yeah, I do need to move over by you. I can't believe that 1/2 mile makes all the difference. Yeah, I'll have to stop by. I'm at my parents like everyday. I always think about walking down to your house but don't know if you'd want company or not. Next time I'm there, I'll stop by!
ReplyDeleteRandee,
ReplyDeleteSeriously a guy shot his girlfriend in the apartments right here? What night was that? Was it Thursday? If, it was that would be crazy! I know, I don't know how you don't hear gunshots. We hear them all the time. Amazing what one street can do, huh? Or maybe it's your hearing. You should get it checked. Ha ha ha.
What's your blog address Randee?
ReplyDeleteKaylea,
ReplyDeleteI'm not cool like you...I don't have a blog! I have a myspace and that's about it! Maybe I'll start a blog!
We should plan a get-together with Erica sometime! Either with all the kids so they can play or a girl's night out!
ReplyDeleteKaylea,
ReplyDeleteHey in the neighborhood we are moving from things like that happened all the time. Once the cops raided a house 2 doors down and we were huddled in the hallway just like you were. Don't you just love how great the world is getting! P.s. It is fun to see your family and little guy-conrats on the 2nd babe. I love having 2 kids better than one(hopefully I'll still be able to say that after having even more, not just yet though:)
Mikelle,
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy a similar thing happened to you. It's so scary. I wish I could move out of this neighborhood. Your house looks so cute, by the way. Jealous. I want a house. Glad to hear two kids is better than one. I heard three is the life changer. Good luck when the time comes.
Randee, yeah, we should plan a get together with Erica. Both ideas sound fun. P.S. your blog looks good.
